If stress, burnout, or parenting overload have left you feeling stuck, our mental health coaching offers tools for emotional clarity, balance, and progress.
For clients who need extra support calming the nervous system, we also offer non-invasive microcurrent neurofeedback (MCN) — a brief, gentle tool that works alongside coaching to help improve focus, sleep, and mood.
- Helps calm anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or shutdown
- Supports nervous system balance and recovery
- Quick, painless sessions; great for kids, teens, and adults
- Can be added to coaching — or done separately
Ready to Regulate? Discover the Gentle Power of Microcurrent Neurofeedback
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, irritability, sensory overload, or chronic stress, sometimes your nervous system needs a gentle reset.
Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) is a non-invasive tool that uses subtle currents to support brain and body regulation. It works well on its own or alongside coaching, especially when talk-based tools aren’t enough.
Session highlights:
- Quick, painless, and sensor-based (no stimulation or active effort needed)
- Often used to help with anxiety, sleep, emotional reactivity, and pain
- Great for teens, adults, and trauma survivors seeking gentle support
- Can be paired with coaching or done independently

Your Questions About Coaching and Microcurrent Neurofeedback — Answered
Is this therapy?
No. My services are not clinical therapy. I offer mental health coaching—a non-clinical, present-focused approach that uses evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, IFS-informed support, motivational interviewing (MI), and more. Coaching can be a great option if:
- You want help without the need for a diagnosis
- You're uninsured, underinsured, or prefer not to go through insurance
- You're looking for real-life change from this point forward
- You value support without clinical labels
- You've tried therapy before and want something more practical or goal-oriented
If therapy is a better fit, I’ll point you in the right direction and can continue supporting you with coaching if appropriate.
Why mental health coaching instead of traditional therapy?
Therapy is clinical, licensed care that typically includes diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical documentation. Coaching is different. It’s a supportive, forward-focused approach that helps you grow, reflect, and build real-life change—without needing a diagnosis or jumping through insurance hoops.
Mental health coaching may be a better fit if:
- You’ve tried therapy but felt stuck, misunderstood, or over-labeled
- You don’t have insurance or want to avoid high costs
- You’re looking for evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, IFS-informed coaching, and ACT
- You value privacy, partnership, and progress over paperwork and pathologizing
I’ll always refer out if therapy is needed—but many clients find that coaching gives them the tools and momentum they’ve been missing.
What is Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN), and how does it help?
Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) is a gentle, non-invasive technology that helps your brain reset and regulate itself. It sends brief, imperceptible signals to the brain that interrupt stuck patterns often linked to anxiety, trauma, attention issues, sleep problems, and more.
At Providential Living, we use a specific form of MCN called IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback—a proprietary, FDA-registered system based on EEG technology. It does not involve brain training, headsets, or stimulation. Sessions use only a few small electrodes placed on the scalp—similar to a heart monitor—and are brief, low-frequency, and typically not felt by the client.
🔌 It is NOT shock therapy. There is no shocking, jolting, or electrical stimulation of any kind. The process is calming, safe, and especially helpful for clients with sensitivity, trauma, or neurodivergence.
Clients often describe feeling:
-
Calmer and more clear-headed
-
Less reactive or overwhelmed
-
Better able to sleep, focus, and stay grounded
MCN sessions can stand alone or be combined with mental health coaching to support emotional regulation, nervous system healing, and deep inner change—without relying on medication or diagnoses.
Can I do coaching without MCN or MCN without coaching?
Yes. Both are offered as stand-alone services — and many clients choose one or the other depending on their needs. Others choose to combine or alternate coaching and neurofeedback over time for a more integrated approach.
Some clients begin with coaching to focus on practical tools, emotional growth, and real-life goals. Others start with IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) to calm the nervous system, support trauma recovery, or manage stress without talk-based work.
🧠 MCN does not require coaching, and you can receive it independently.
🗣️ Coaching can also be done without MCN, using evidence-informed tools to support change, insight, and resilience.
All services are HIPAA-compliant, client-directed, and rooted in trauma-informed, holistic care.
What kind of tools or methods do you use in coaching?
My work is centered around the belief that healing doesn’t just happen through talk — it happens through regulation, reflection, and relationship. I draw from a variety of evidence-informed, body-aware, and trauma-attuned methods to help clients experience change that’s grounded and lasting.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include:
- 🧠 Cognitive-based strategies (like CBT) to challenge unhelpful thoughts and clarify goals
- 🌬️ Polyvagal-informed tools to understand your body’s stress responses and increase felt safety
- 🌀 Somatic techniques to support nervous system regulation and emotional release without needing to “revisit” trauma
- 🧭 DBT skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional self-regulation
- ❤️ IFS-informed parts work to help you better understand and care for your protective and wounded parts
- 💬 Motivational Interviewing (MI) to move through ambivalence and activate inner motivation
- 👪 Attachment-based tools drawn from the PACE model and DDP principles — especially helpful when working with children, families, or relational challenges
- ✍️ Reflective exercises, journaling, and values-based planning to support real-world change
Coaching is not clinical or diagnostic — it’s collaborative, compassionate, and focused on empowering you to move forward with greater clarity, connection, and resilience.
I am faith-based in practice, but I never impose my beliefs. I create space for where each client is spiritually, emotionally, and personally — honoring each story with safety and respect.
How do I know if this is the right fit for me?
If you're looking for support that’s nervous-system aware, trauma-informed, flexible, and faith-grounded without being pushy, you're in the right place. Coaching may be a great fit if:
- You’re overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck — and want practical tools to move forward
- You’ve tried therapy before and want something more present-focused, goal-oriented, and collaborative
- You prefer non-diagnostic, real-world support over clinical labels
- You’re seeking guidance that honors both your emotions and your values
- You want to feel safe, seen, and supported — not pathologized
- You’re open to tools that support body awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth
You don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you’re navigating trauma, stress, ADHD, relationship struggles, or parenting challenges, this space is designed to meet you where you are — with respect, compassion, and clarity.
